Sunday school is not just for children – but what happens in children’s Sunday school classes is an essential element to creating a life-long walk with Jesus Christ.

On September 25th, families joined Children’s & Family Ministry volunteers after services for our first Children’s Ministry Fall Fellowship. Together we ate pancakes and bacon, mingled, and learned about the important things being taught in our children’s Sunday school classes. This new form of open house created an informal dynamic where parents could meet their child’s teachers and other parents while children could run and play with their friends.

And while the event was a success, connecting approximately 120 people, the connecting thread between all of the classes was this: We need more people pouring into the discipleship of our children!

A life-long walk with Jesus is not formed in a vacuum. It takes loving, dedicated teens and adults who are willing and able to serve on a regular basis to model faith, answer questions, and engage in child-like awe in the God who created us, loves us, saves us, and wants to be in relationship with us.

Would you consider investing your time in the children of our faith family? We are specifically looking for class assistants for 2-3 year-old children during the 11am service and small group leaders during the 9:30 service.
